Sparrows in the mind

The apartment I live in is on the 1st floor of the building. I always climb the stairs instead of going by the elevator to have some exercise. The stairs are divided into two parts. At the place where these two parts meet there is a nice nest of sparrows. It has been there since more than a year. By the behavior of the sparrows you can guess that they may have been there since one or two generations.

They never fly away, even if you reach near them. One always passes by them at a distance close to 1 feet. The way is like that only. The nest is at a height and above a box where children cannot see it. Grown ups can easily touch it but it seems it has not happene since years. When I reach near the sparrow, my hearbeats increase. I take careful steps and keep my hands close to body so that the sparrows are not scared..Whatever trust that was bult over the years should not be destroyed by a single thoughtless act.

But then I also think what would happen to these sparrows if they move out to some other place and the people there are not as good as they are here. Should I break their trust deliberately by shooing them away? Its some philosophical decision..But then this would rob them of the heavenly peaceful place which they were living until now..

Agreed that the world is filled with bad places and bad people. But does it mean that we go on destroying such places also?
My last thoughts dominate all the earlier logic. I let the birds tweet as I pass by, meanwhile enjoying the out of the world experience everyday.
