The compass of conscience

There is a magical compass in Pirates.. which shows the path to reach what we desire most.

I think in real life also I should believe that I have a compass-an invisible one, showing me the path to what I desire most. Afterall I know what is of top priority to me and what all is needed to achieve it. Life is complex, but if I focuss myself where the compass shows, it would not be that complicated.
But what if I am unclear of what I desire most? I should decide quickly, for the indecision can hold me back.

If a static period of indecision happens, I should keep faith and believe in thoughts like these:

"Life is no straight and every corridor along
which we travel free and unhampered,
but a maze of passages,
through which we must seek our way,
lost and confused, now and again
checked in a blind alley.

But always, if we have faith,
God will open a door for us,
Not perhaps one that we ourselves
would ever have thought of,
But one that will ultimately
prove good for us."

Have you seen Pochahontas? In the Disney version, she also has a compass, but she is indecisive, so the needle spins and spins.

So are you saying that if one is indecisive, s/he should keep doing whatever s/he is doing while keeping faith that sooner or later God will show the way?

Aligning the compass takes time in some situations. That is the period of indecision i meant. God will certainly not open a door for us, we have to find it ourself..
apparently that line of the poem doesn't mean exactly what i wish to express. thanks for pointing it out.
But certainly i like to have faith in myself in such situations

this poem of mine (in marathi) stresses on the efforts and hard work instead of waiting for any miracle to occur.
